With its compact, efficient, reliable, high heat transfer area density, high pressure resistance and low temperature resistance, PCHE meet the needs of main low temperature heat exchangers for offshore floating natural gas liquefaction. Their size is usually 20% of the size of shell & tube heat exchangers, but unlike other compact heat exchangers, they can be designed for pressures up to 9000 psi (620 bar). The maximum pressure can reach 60MPa, the minimum temperature is below -200 ℃, and the efficiency is up to 98%, which is convenient for modularization.
Compared with brazed plate heat exchangers, PCHE are more resistant to high temperature, high pressure, corrosion, and are not easy to leak.
